This is one of my favorite sections. I can literally make a full meal of sides or contorni: roasted potatoes with rosemary or fried eggplant with garlic, capers and tomatoes. How can you go wrong?! Many contorni can be also served at the beginning of the meal as antipasti.
In a traditional Italian restaurant sides are generally ordered separately and served on their own plates, sometimes gently boiled, sometimes grilled or sautŝed with a little bit of garlic and olive oil.
